i met with this cute family of four this weekend. after being rained out a few weeks ago in austin, we decided to not be deterred by the rain this weekend and found shelter in a gazeebo to get some outdoor shots despite the wet weather. it was such a joy to see how this little boy and his big sister just love on each other! enjoy!
i woke up after a long weekend of traveling a bit weary for the start of the day and another week and halfway up the stairs i saw that our pear tree bloomed while we were gone and it literally took my breath away for just a moment. it cheered me in an instant.
happy spring. its really here!!

i can’t believe in just 2 years this business has grown leaps and bounds and i continue to be amazed- not only by the experiences that i am lucky enough to have, but also by your loyalty and kindness.

let this be proof that sometimes procrastinating pays off! i was avoiding packing my bags (and my childrens’ bags) for a weekend trip to dallas and decided to do a little googling to see who is chatting about me out there and came across this awesome plug in the february issue of rare magazine.

i just cannot wait until june! these two are getting hitched and it is going to be GREAT!! i am overjoyed to be able to capture their wedding. we met tonight at mount bonnell, the site of their actual engagement, to take engagement portraits.
only a few more months until the big day- get excited!!
today’s post is brought to you by the letter L… lily to be specific. we were having a picnic and she wanted to take my picture, so here you are folks! the first remotely in-focus picture ever taken by my sweet gal. looks like she has the rule of thirds down, but needs to work on composition and her use of dappled sun.
she was VERY proud of the shot in-camera. i can’t wait to show her that i put it online when she wakes up from her nap…
and as for the watermark, i just couldn’t help myself.

oh how i loved this session. i wanted to come back and share the entire session with you so that you can see what a full set of images can look like. this isn’t all of them- but its pretty darn close!
i think its easy to be wow-ed by a favorite few images from a session, but seeing the range of a full session is where you really see someone’s depth. i hope you enjoy these!

spring has sprung (well almost!) and family portrait season is upon us! i want to update you all on my availability and some fun scheduling news.
beginning in march, i will be available for weekday sessions! i will still limit the number of sessions available per week, but the flexibility will be so much greater for my clients. here is the availability in the coming months- let me know if you’d like to reserve a date!

this little guy was seriously one of the calmest newborns i’ve been around! his dad was an expert baby ’shush-er’ (the happiest baby on the block fans!) and mom was so proud of her sweet husband and precious boy. it was so fun meeting with them again today for the first time since their maternity session and seeing how they have become a family of three!
