i have a special place in my heart for sisters. (or sistahs as erin and i say) my sister, my sweet babies that are sisters, i just love love the bond of sisters. this morning was no exception- how C U T E are these sisters? i mean clearly we could go on and on about how adorable this entire family is as well.

you may recognize this family from sessions such as her first maternity, big sister’s newborn session a year and a half ago, and THIS adorable family maternity session last month. what can i say but i am so incredibly thankful for loyal clients whose kiddos LOVE the camera

i stopped by this lovely client’s house today to get a few shots of her youngest.  i’ve said it time and again, but getting to watch tiny newborns become sweet little ones is the best part of this job.  what a lucky gal i am!  here is just a tidbit for you- three newborns to come this week!  i can’t wait for some sleepy snuggles

i’ve been happy with my current branding for the past year but recently felt the need to simplify.  my fantabulous designer and i came up with this refreshing new version over burgers (well he had a burger, i had the veggie pasta, come on you know me better than that!).

i can’t wait to get spanking fresh marketing materials with my new look.  enjoy!

the past few weeks have been the calm before the storm! my wonderful designer and i met to update the logo (i promise, its coming soon!!) and i had some time to catch up on things that fell to the wayside during the holidays. for example, the calendar on my portrait site is actually up to date now!

i have THREE newborn shoots and a maternity in the next week AND two meetings with brides. i guess the ’slow season’ is officially over! fun for you, that means more blog sneak peeks!  check in tomorrow for the first of the precious newborns.

i am so lucky to have two amazing baby girls as my nieces.  i got to spend some time with them this morning cuddling and taking their photographs and just relishing a sweet tiny one falling asleep in my arms.  they are officially TWO months old, still little, but getting bigger by the day!

how gorgeous is my sister?  i really believe she was meant to be a mother and i think you can tell by the serene feel of these that even with twins, she has peace in her heart for these girls.  what a beautiful family.  i really wanted to get individual shots of her with each girl, not just pictures of all three of them, and i think we accomplished it beautifully.

this morning i am feeling so blessed to be a family photographer in austin, texas. is there a better place to live?! i really don’t think so.

i logged in to my site statistics to see how many of you are out there following along with the site and was blown away to see that the number of visitors in january has almost doubled since last year. nearly four THOUSAND people visited bloom photography’s blog this past month and i just wanted to take a moment to say ‘thank you’.

thank you for loving what i do, for your interest & support, and for making it possible for me to pursue my passion of lifestyle photography. what a blessing!

this boy is all BOY!  i shot his newborn portraits a year ago and i cannot tell you how fun it is to see a daredevil emerging from what was a ball of sweetness just a year ago.  we braved a very chilly morning to get these and to my delight, big sister was totally pumped to have her pictures taken too

many late nights and some screaming at my computer later, my wedding site is up and running!  i would also like to take this moment to thank the hollywood foreign press… kidding kidding.  i want to take a moment to brag about my wonderful husband- without kevin i would be so lost when it comes to much of this technical mumbo jumbo.  he’s such a patient helper and puts up with my sad lack of organization- thanks babe!!  i don’t know what i’d do without you!
